WELCOME TO HANSE YACHTS NEW ZEALAND Hanse The Sailors Yacht
Decades of experience in offshore sailing and the passion and knowledge of highly qualified boat builders have been absorbed into the development of Hanse yachts. A lot of emphasis has been on the elegance of hull design and excellent sailing performance and Hanse see every Hanse yacht not only as a vessel for sailing but also as a work of art. Thank you to all who took the time to visit us at the Boat Show. It was very rewarding for us to hear not only was the Hanse Range known to so many people now but even more important - people understood the Hanse yacht's sailing ability for both performance and cruising having seen so many of the boats out on the water, both racing and cruising. If you came on the boats and we were talking to someone else and unable to talk to you at that time, and you have some questions, please give us a call and the opportunity to talk through your queries. We are very proud of the Hanses and thoroughly enjoy talking about them - as those of you who chatted to one of us at the show would realise. Tony Newmarch Marine Brokers is proud to be
the New Zealand agent for Hanse Yachts. We were lucky enough to meet
Peter Hrones of Windcraft who has the Australian Dealership at the Sydney Boat
Show 4 years ago and we were very impressed by Peter and the
Hanse Yachts he represented. Peter invited us to be the Hanse agent for
New Zealand and we set about introducing the Hanse design to our existing
customer base.
We are members of the Marine
Industry Association of New Zealand and Tony has completed his NZQA
qualification in Marine Sales and Services in Boat Sales and Brokerage.
 Tony has been
selling yachts and launches for around 22years now and has a well-deserved
reputation for knowing his boats, their strengths and capabilities as well as
their weaknesses. In 1999 Tony and his wife Kay started

When Tony first saw the Hanse design, he recognized a boat that he totally believed were a range of new yachts that the New Zealand public could relate to; a boat that is both great to look at as well as a superb performance cruising yacht. John and Christine Cowan, for whom Tony has found yachts in the past, had also seen the Hanse with Tony at the show and they agreed it was what they were looking for. Tony sold their Chico 35 and we ordered the first Hanse 411 to come to New Zealand for John and Christine. "First Landing" John and Christine's boat arrived in New Zealand in February 2004 and after commissioning at the Viaduct Basin in Auckland was launched about a week later. 3 and a bit years on with 25 Hanses sold to - we are happy to say - 25 delighted owners and we are still just as enthusiastic about the Hanse range. The first 35o arrives in Auckland in March 2008 so we are all looking forward to that. Our new demonstrator "Bon Chanse" has arrived, has been launched, and spent the last week at the Viaduct Basin at the Auckland Boat Show. By the beginning of next week - 17th March - she should be totally ready to go sailing -with such a short time frame; from arrival in Auckland to the start of the Boat Show it was all on to get her ready and she is still to have her first sail. Needless to say, we are really looking forward to it.
